Choosing and Building the best character for your play-style in COT

In COT, choosing the right character is essential to being the best as you can. You must choose either to be a strong fighter like “two hand fighter” or a quick one like “dual-wield fighter”, or a balanced one like “pole arm fighter”. The main aspect of the game revolving around play-style is the character attributes.

Below is a list of a basis to guide yourself on when choosing attributes for your character. They are based on a total of 1400 points, and they are designed to support the above descriptions of the classes.
The pole arm fighter is a balanced warrior that is very popular among the ranks of COT. They fight with speed and power, but not as extreme as the two-hand or the dual-wield.

Notice that in the picture above, the points are arranged with a ratio of 1.5x / x / 2x respectively. Note that this is only a guide and that you will venture away from this due to equipment, fate, etc.

The dual-wield fighter is a speed fighter that attacks consecutively with "aftershock" damage. This character is usually played with a lot of HP/EP drain because of all the hits they do.

Notice that the points are arranged with a ratio of 2x / x / 4x respectively. Note that this is only a guide and that you will venture away from this due to equipment, fate, etc.

The two-hand fighter is based around brute force. This beast is known for its hard hits and is among the popular of COT.

Notice that the points are arranged with a ratio of 5x / x / x respectively. Note that this is only a guide and that you will venture away from this due to equipment, fate, etc.; also, you may want to increase the stamina more and take away from the strength so that you will have more HP, but it will cut into your damage.

The One-hand fighter is unique. It is more balanced than the dual-wield or two-hand, but not as balanced as the pole arm. I would say the closest class to this one is the two-hand, surprisingly. This class is probably the hardest to decide what attributes to choose, but below is a guide you may want to follow for a basic One-hand fighter.

Notice that the points are arranged with a ratio of 4x / x / 2x respectively: the exact opposite of dual-wield fighters. Note that this is only a guide and that you will venture away from this due to equipment, fate, etc.
